will smoking weed help you become better at doing psychedelics such as magic mush or acid?

what do you guys think is it possible for that to happen? will it help you handle the acid or magic mushrooms or other psychedelic drugs?

I don't think Cannabis makes you "better" at taking mushies, beyond aiding in indigestion and nausea.

It's a different experience for each person. I love toking before come up sometimes. It's nice to puff weed coming down, usually brighten things up a bit.

Weed can definitely make things paranoid too.

As above, it’s different to everybody. I tripped for twenty years without weed. I then tripped for about fifteen years, mainly with mushrooms, and with weed. I followed McKenna’s advice. I rolled up three joints before. I would smoke the first as soon as I felt the mushrooms. I’d then smoke the second at the end of the peak which got me an extra hour of peak, and then the third. Was lovely. I mainly trip on acid now, and smoke weed towards the end of the peak. But I have to be really careful. If I take too much I can go into level five tryptamine land instantly which can go on for hours! I call them psychotic episodes but no idea really, I am no medical professional.

So I’d repeat above, different for everybody. But I’d also add, the experience can change throughout your tripping lifetime. Stay safe lovely people ❤️

Do you mean consuming both at the same time or in general?

At the same time? definitely not, the experiences back then tended to go into a bad direction when combined.

In general it could maybe help with having some experiences beforehand. But I don't actually think one needs it. If one wants to take mushrooms he could also just start with small doses.

Smoking weed makes the trip WAY more intense (if you smoke while tripping)

Also its all psychological so it depends on your personal disposition

Smoking weed also increases the chances of difficult experiences. 9 times out of 10 when we see people on the board here talking about difficult experiences (bad trips) they say, "everything was going fine and then I smoked weed".

I combine them. I'm always high before anything. I think there's times it has helped, I get a strong synergy on solo ayahuasca. I get stoned and melt away into a breakthrough-like state for long periods. I'll vape more THC every hour and it's almost like every hit is freebase DMT. Before I can finish it I'm off on another catatonic vision quest for 30-60 minutes. And Aya increases my sense of smell, so cannabis smells better than ever, which triggers a fractal of olfactory memories from every bud I've ever smoked, reliving every high at the same time.

I get really unpleasant thought looping and discombobulated on mushrooms though, might be due to the cannabis. Though I've had a couple excellent mushroom trips where cannabis was a positive enhancement.

On mescaline I've gotten the distinct feeling that father mescaline would prefer I not get stoned while on it. Mescaline is so clean feeling and stimulating, cannabis seems to conflict with its vibe a bit. Plenty of energy to power through thoughts though, so no looping. LSD is pretty similar to mescaline IME; they're fine together, don't cause me problems like mushrooms, but not as synergistic as Aya.

From a physical standpoint, knowing how to vape properly from experience with cannabis, and having a proper vaporizer makes the administration of freebase DMT significantly easier. Idk how THC affects the experience since freebase DMT is so far off the scale. Probably just adds a layer of confusion.

Yeah an intense mind manifesting dose of cannabis will be greatly facilitated by use of the same surrendering techniques that are so central to a positive full on psychedelic experience. Both are basically psychedelic experiences at the higher levels and the principal is the same. Combined they are an atomic bomb…

Cannabis with psychedelics, for me, tends to make things much more weird while simultaneously making everything a whole lot more real.
