I don't have a favorite setup, although I love SGFCs and cakes (great for experimenting). There's more than one way to skin a cat and it's much more important to understand FAE and RH and create the right conditions for your mycelium to thrive. Just like a symphony orchestra, every instrument plays its role, but to me FAE is the conductor :thumbup:

Ive got this thing sitting at adequate RH [it gets up to 99%] and it has sort of an ez dial mono/SGFC style holes, where on each ridge of the jug are tiny holes evenly spaced out.

I couldn't have said it better myself.  Even cubes, they handle neglect well, but like any mushroom, they luv air too, it's how we get monster fruits, or too much humidity no air, small fruits... everywhere.  One of my first great pinsets went this way, I was so happy... until I wasn't.  Air is definitely controlling the outcome or direction of the sailboat... No doubt.

I think I committed the cardinal sin of choking the pinset with not enough oxygen, then overcompensated and dried them out and only some hyper ambitious fruits made the cut...

And after checking the forums I realized my grains were bacterial

I dumped the cake in my backyard where all the contam stuff goes to let them live wild and free

Time to reload the chamber

Are you still working on this? I think it'd be great if you updated the OP to have your newest refinements be the "TEK" with the original methods saved below for posterity or just removed entirely with the updates. The only thing I would warn against is the impulse to call every experiment you run a TEK and do a write-up on how it's the next big jazz before you've actually ran any tests, it's a cannon event :lol: . This is cool though, and if you update it and refine it I see it being a useful writeup for cultivators who have access to those containers or are looking for solutions to dripping like beef mentioned.

I'm working on an update to the TekDek, actually make it real, I've spent about 40 hours on it this last week and have over 1,000 writeups from the last 25 years, no duplicates :awesome: I'll be releasing it soon and if this is something you plan on keeping up with I will include it in my update

Yessir, yeah I quickly realized after reading other teks that the entire process should be written in the OP. Im currently working on cleaning cultures and as soon as Ive got something to work with, I will revise the OP to include my entire process

I originally wrote this as a fruiting chamber tek because everybody has their own coir/verm tek, sterilization/pasteurizing tek, and agar tek, etc...

It was definitely a canon event:rofl::wow:

Long story short, Im still working on refining this tek to make it actually useful to the community as opposed to it just being a one off grow log. Ive got some dialing in to do as well, which will be interesting due to the winter season brrrrrrrr

I will include the first run of the jug and my updates so yall can see how I dialed it in:thumbup:
