Well the temperature is coming down. Which honestly I was excited for until literally a couple days ago when I found out six of my fish all of my snails&  all of the water hyacinth are at risk of death. The water Hyacinth grows so fast I don't think it really matters if I throw some in a bucket and then just start over next year. But the zebra daino being at risk upsets me. I was sold those fish under the explicit promise that they could survive outside in a Washington pond that's the only reason I got them.

That lady was Shystie.
Now I'm gonna have to get some sort of a cover for the pond and a heater and probe. That way the temperature shifts won't kill them.
I thought I was all done spending money on the pond.
Apparently not.

Whoa I remember seeing you talking about putting a pond in, but I thought danios are subtropical. Or was it tropical, semi-aggressive.
Bubbler/stone heater?

I don't even know the story but the thought of delicate schools of lil tetra like fish surviving outside for a WA winter makes me doubletake as if there's something to see.

Its this pet shop that I went to. The lady was a total scammer. She didn't give a shit if all those fish died you just wanted to make a big sale she insured me and I explicitly asked about how cold it was gonna get this winter and she said everything should be fine…

That fucking liar!

Honestly it just moves up my schedule eventually I was gonna try and build some sort of deployable cover for the pond that I could keep on it for fall and possibly winter.
With the cover on and with the heater in basically ensure myself that nothing's gonna die but it's still a bummer getting lied to like that.

So you didn't do any research on your own about all of their needs? You blindly trusted a sales person and just gave them your money?

Why?the fuck?
if that's the case I don't feel bad for you. Am I misreading here?

Edit: yeah she's a total fuckin liar

If they've had a lifetime, would wager they have learnt how to sell.

It is surely a betrayal, GC.
Yet understandable. Take it as a lesson.

Did you get Mystery Snails? The blue version are pretty.

If I had a pond, would fill it with Pirahna.
Nothing would go to waste.

---

My mom and dad used to have an aquarium and my dad did get red bellied piranha. My mom got snake head.

Both of those fish are insanely illegal to have in an aquarium or a pond but they got them in Chinatown.

I'm confident I can keep the temperature from dipping below 50 and killing all of them.
The mystery snails I've gotten from two different pet stores and that was a lie as well. I made sure every single time I bought anything for that pond I asked if it would be fine in there over the winter. So far I've had three different shops sell me stuff that they said would be fine in there and all of them were liars.

Mystery snails cannot tolerate any temperature below 55°F.
I tried to look for them last night after I found out tried to scoop up any survivors I could I was gonna keep them inside in a bowl and I couldn't find even a single one.

Which bummed me out…
The snails were not cheap either. You'd be surprised how much money you can get charged for a couple of golden Inca mystery snails.

The actual snail that I was supposed to be getting sold in place of all the lies that people told me about the snails I had purchased is called a Japanese trap door snail.
Those snails have gills and are way more weathered tolerant and will have no issues surviving in my pond whatsoever.

The entire pet industry is just full of scamming liars and it pissed me off. As far as hobbit saying they're just pretty decoration. Fish do actually have a memory and they do remember their pond mates. So if six of their friends were to drop dead because of my negligence they would probably remember that for weeks if not months.

Pretending Elon is a Nazi is about as dishonest as it gets. He could salute, wear Nazi gear, and hail Hitler, he’d still be 80 years too late.

So according to you the neo Nazi movement doesn't exist because they didn't get to show up in time?

That is extremely negative of you.
