Trich on CVG--UNDER field capacity?

I was having contamination problems, my cvg tubs getting trich just as pinning started. 

To ensure I had clean spawn, I've been shaking the jars just before spawning to bulk, and doing g2a transfers. I'm not seeing mold on agar, or visible mold in the spawn.

So I though maybe my cvg was too wet.  (I didn't think so--I'd get 1 drop of water when I squeezed the he'll out of it), so I tried adding more verm to dry it a little bit. 

Oddly, my trich rates went up. 

I think I've been approaching this problem wrong.  Being UNDER hydrated is causing colonization to take a lot longer,  and the struggling myc is finally losing the battle with trich.

What do you think?  I'm using the bucket tek in a Gatorade cooler, I've tested the grain spawn.  I've sprayed down all the tubs with bleach after a good cleaning.  I'm having good success doing agar in my SAB.

It has to be under hydration. 

I have 6 jars of grain spawn ready, and am planning to run it wetter.  RRs vid showed 3 or 4 drops of water coming out from squeezing.  I'm getting a squishing sound, and 1 drop at most. 

I hate it when my hobbies start stressing me out!

One more quick thing.  Do people still mix the spawn and CVG, then apply plain cvg as a pseudo casing layer?  From my old notes, I used to cover it with bubble wrap until fully colonized but that practice seems to not be popular anymore.

IME, trich before 1st flush was always caused by bacteria

Do you have any pics of your spawn?
