Large Pf-tek in a bag
    #29661890 -

I got these unicorn bags and I wonder if something like this has been tried: a large Pf-tek substrate prepared in a bag. Mateja has posted about replacing the vermiculite in the recipe with coir to good results. So you could prepare a large coir-brf bag.

I searched for other possible examples of this, looking at searches like 'large pf tek' and 'all in one bag'. Closest thing I found was a muda bottle, and he does have some coir and grain mix recipes.

As far as I can see there's nothing in principle that would make this idea not work. But I'm open to any criticisms people have.

Obviously, unlike in a comparatively small pf tek you wouldn't want to do spores in this, but it could easily work with LC or a large wedge. And because of coir's highwater absorption capacity, which it wouldn't even be close to during colonization phase, it would be able to pick up a lot more water once dunked after colonization, which could help it make large fruits.

I had extra bulk spawn after filling my last tub so I put it into the 3lb grain bag I had just emptied, was initially fruiting it in the same bag but it started side pinning like crazy so I cut the bag off of it and stuck it in a bigger fahtlock style bag and it's doing great. Essentially like a 5" cube cake in a bag.
