Yeah, I found that, if I'm hot and sweating from doin' outside shit in the summer heat like an idiot that cold, low-sugar limeade works a whooooooooole better at makin' me not feel like a half-melted Snickers Satan left on the back porch.  Somethin' somethin' electrolytes, somethin' somethin' what plants crave.

Strange, I had to drink room-temp water for five years because the fridge was too small to fit a water jug. When I moved to Hawaii, they had an ice machine at work, so I drank ice water, and it was hard at first.

Yeah, I feel ya on that shit, homegrown.  Mine loves hitting me like a coked-up gorrilla for about the 6 weeks leading up to my birthday.  It absolutely does not make me wanna crawl into a ravine and eat rocks alone in the dark.

Writing helps, but...not always.  Especially if the scene I'm writing is somethin that hits me right in the wrong way.  Usually involving grief and loss.  But, I figure it's better for it to go SOMEWHERE than stay locked up in my skull til it bursts.  Done that, it sucks, don't recommend it.

Maybe, next series I get to writin' can be about people that DON'T have a heaping helping of trauma from abuse, loss, torture, and the odd magical enslavement.

Preach brother! I had a bunch of grunt work to distract myself with leading up to my birthday this year and then it reared it's ugly head and now I've been trying to get back to baseline for the last 2 months.

Whenever I drink heavy, I'll get that for like 3 days afterwards. Definitely has a depressive effect.
