This has been the best thread and gives me hope. I just discovered it yesterday. I hunt in the west-central area and have come up empty, aside from the beautiful inactive specimens. Does anyone have pointers to help with my hunting in this region?

so glad you can join us! and congratulations on finding this site and thread. i can only imagine how much searching you did to finally find it. make sure to check all the past years GA actives threads (2025,2024,2023 etc.) just search GA actives and type the year in the search bar and itll pop up. theres a little bit of readinbg to do but its worth it! theres one for each year if you didnt guess and they all have very valuable information on how to find actives.

man its fricking hot, and humid! my eskimo snowman ass is melting working construction in this heat. i barely have time to check spots now that i have to recover from heat stroke every day instead of going on the hunt : (  heres some pins popping up today though, ill definitely try to go check the caerulescens spot as they seem to fruit together at the same time usually : )

Nitro , you alone are responsible for 1/4+ of all US caerulescens observations.
you should write a guide on hunting them.:awesomenod::thumbup:

Gotta spread those spores :sporedrop::sporedrop::mushroom2:  was thinking about doing a caeru guide with pictures.  Thanks for the encouragement!!  If they were legal I’d setup a hunting class for sure.

Found an orchra half the length of my forearm in the shit pile the other day.
My tattoos prevent me from posting it

Im not able to return to my only caerulescens spot in a min. Ive checked back in opportune times briefly to exactly where I made finds. Not ideal at all,but dont really wanna talk to the job about why I been out there much....

Still got almost 2g of dried fruit to try when personal life ain't hell.🤷 dunno what to expect vs 2g of cubes comparatively, but 2g cubes is really just a threshold to weak doses for me anyways so.....
Looking at making some gummies to preserve extra stocks till home life settles where I can go often again.  Thought mushboy had a simple tek but can only find "stone'd" tek as being a reasonable one atm....

I still get out. Just less often. I leave a many not knowing if I can access the dehydrator nowadawys...

It's been so hot and dry. This is probably the only thing active growing in these hellish temps. Seems fitting.
