I did measure the temp, but only of the temp inside the oven, not the actual temp inside the pot of water. I fear that it did not reach 160 degrees inside the pot. It did not burn my finger when I felt the water after I took the straw out. I guess I should have just put it back in the oven at a higher temp, oh well.
