Sorry these are blurry, the peduncle on intermedia is so fine that it moves in the slightest breeze

I love the brugsy and coleus. I've never seen leaves so big on the latter. Looking at your flowering basil got me to thinking, what's the pollinator situation like in the tropics? I imagine there's atleast honey bees and some exotic butterflies.

Yeah there are heaps of different pollinators here. We have a couple of native bees, European honey bees, ants, moths, wasps, butterflies, and even birds that pollinate. The sunbirds love to drink the nectar out of the Leonotis, and I’m sure they pollinate them a lot.

I see a lot of small wasps always hanging around my flowers. Also pollinator flies

I wanna plant some sunflowers. There’s a farm not too farm away that recently had a full field of them. Looked amazing

Bardy I didn't even realize the last pic is klip dagga. Nice!  I've always wanted to grow some for the hummingbirds.

Have you ever tried some? Is it just :musky:

Yeah, nectar eating birds love them. We get sunbirds here and they’re similar to hummingbirds kinda; they love the klip dagga.

I have smoked it before and found it to be very mehhh.

I fairly regularly chew a few leaves to relax in bed at night though and I think it’s a way better way of consuming it. Making a tea from the leaves or just chewing and eating the leaves gives a nice euphoric body high for about 10 minutes or so. Smoking it seems to give a shorter rush which isn’t really any more intense, so eating it is my preferred method of madness.

If any of you guys grow poppies and consume home grown opium from time to time, have your dose of poppy and then when it’s kicking in you should hit some klip dagga tea or eat some fresh leaves. I swear there’s some nice synergy there or something. It turns the body high up even more somehow
