New here. Suffering from "Situational" PTSD, Depression, and some anxity
    #29627144 -

Hi all.  I said "situational" as I don't really know what to call it.

I don't believe I have a chemical imbalance issue..

Long Long story but will make it short as I can...

Bad divorce 7+ years ago I really did not want but saw coming.

Over my Ex fast.  Issue is my 2 beautiful kids (son, 25; daughter, 21) have stopped communicating with me and stopped seeing me pretty much for the past 7+ years. Daughter has me blocked, but my son does not..  He never texts me, but I sometimes text him just to say hi and that I love him.  So at least there is some communication with him...

I am devastated. Heartbroken. NO meds help with this..  I am basically suffering from grief and loneliness and feelings of rejection.

My doc put me on Zoloft 50mg which I guess helps a little..  I have a RX for Xanax but try not to take it too much..  I have tried therapy, but it just doesn't work for me..  I end up feeling worse talking to a therapist about all of this..

Anyone here with a similar situation with your kids?

I researched this and read that of "ALL" relationship issues, a parent being rejected by their kids is the worst by far..  :frown:

Do you have any idea why?  Maybe it's something that can be improved over time.

That is the thing driving me nuts when I let it..  Since they wont communicate with me, I really don't know why..  Several years ago when my daughter talked to me briefly, I said the 3 of us really need to go for counseling, and I would pay for it..  She never replied.

It's the not knowing...  Uggggg

Well my dad has a similar issue with my older sister that has cut ties with the rest of us. A lot of counseling taught her that she need to blame someone for why felt scared. Flase memories and what not.  Nothing will help with grief as it like losing your child in a car accident so I understand. But some kind of church group will help with the loneliness.

I hate pharmaceuticals as they mask the issue rather than resolve it and I've seen antidepressants destroy people. I think you should Microdose to wane off of them then take nothing for 3-4 weeks and then take a big macrodose of mushrooms

As a fellow Christian I highly recommend the psychedelic gospels book
