beta glucans also are found in grains esp oats so not really a great measurement of quality particularly in mycelium extract.

I wonder if the study used myc beta glucans with alot of the glucans being from oats.. low digestability but lower cholesterol :wink:

maybe its a histamine reaction with some betaglucans that offer the nasal clearing and stimulant effects and immune effects, loosen stools since your body is trying to get rid of them. i am sure some paper that you guys know of debunks that but just a theory.

From my experience I’ve found products to be best if they are from full fruiting bodies and not contain any mycelium at all so it doesn’t contain any grain that makes it weaker
