I have a 100 qt tub allready that I would like to turn into a  a big ass dreamer but it has no gasket. Is the gasket seal kinda necessary or not really.

It's not necessary, in fact it will give you a little bit better air flow.

I like the gaskets mostly to keep gnats out.  But the basic dreamer would need to be modified a bit to do that anyway.  Screens on fans and other holes sealed somehow.

I will post my build at some point, but it is complicated and not necessary unless you have a lot of gnats in your house.

My house have 0 so i guess good to make a 100 qt one no gasket.

So for a big 105 qt one, wouldnt it be a bit better to put the fan and fogger more in the middle on the longer side of the tub for a bit more even air airflow around the whole thing?

Damn I bought the same fan you linked but I got the dual one instead of single. I thought I was just buying two of them but no its two fan connected by a single controller and you cant unplug the 2nd one :frown:.

Would two fan in a big 105 qt dreamer be way too much? I can return it unless someone here has an idea of what I could do with a DUAL fan setup

Ha I got screwed on that two fan thing before too. You can cut the wires on one if you want and put butt connectors on each wire or tape them up. Or you could run two fans. 105qt tub is massive dude! The fans are variable speed too right? So you can always turn them down.

If I just put them outside at the bottom of the tub and use cookie cooling trays in the tub to elevate my substrate trays by about 1 inch do you think its high enough that it wont directly heat the substrate instead of the air in the whole tub.

Also is there any benefit to adding perlite at the bottom of the tub or its just useless when you have a fogger.

My dreamers will be used only to grow pan cyan

Yea but you allready said you run the fan at the lowest possible speed 24/7, so if theres 2 wouldnt it just be too much?

My setup will look something like this. Almost entirely for pan cyan

Hmmmmmmm im considering it.  Where would YOU put the 2nd fan based on your decades of dreamer experience.

Same height close to each other or one at lip of trays and one much lower near the bottom to circulate the air that will get warmed up by my seed heating pads?

I don't have decades of experience dude hahaha. I have like 2 1/2 years. I was inactive for 10 years BUT I would put them right next to each other

Only thing im worried about with my seed mats is them heating up the substrate too much instead of the air around them.

I cant heat the whole room for that particular room.

Ill elevate them with cookie cooling trays but still they will be close so thats why I thought mb one fan lower to circulate the heated air at the bottom from the heat pads

This is my tub with the 2 fans



105 qt, t5 cloudforge humidifier and a seed heating pad at the bottom.

The fans lower to circulate the air under the trays. Id like to run them on the lowest setting 24/7 with the same fans as the original post.

Any tips to dial things in right for RH and fans? First dreamer and also first time trying to grow pan cyan/bisporus

That's a BEAST of a unit! Dude just find a starting point that looks similar to keeping the same conditions as cubs. From there just bump the air up and humidity up a little bit. Then you adjust according as they pin. Nobody can give you exact parameters to start with because it's going to be different for everyone. Also, once you have it dialed all in, it could change completely the next week. The environment around the tub has a significant impact on the conditions you'll run inside the tub.

Allright ill try some stuff and look at surface conditions.

For your setup do you still just run your fan at the lowest setting 24/7 when you grow pans or do you sometime tweak it too?

90% of the time, I run it at the lowest setting. Only when I'm running 4 tubs on one humidifier, with different species do I bump the fan up.

I.e. if I'm running something like zapotecorum that likes it really wet, I have humidifier turned up for them.. but then I might have something more dry, like natalensis I'm another tub. I would run the nats tub with the same humidity but kick the fan up so I don't drown them
