Thoughts and tips

Hello all,  Were back after 10 years, I've missed growing for many years now and decided to jump back into it after quite some time.




The first time i grew about 10 years ago i posted on here a little bit and got some helpful tips so i thought id come back again, I've been brushing up on some of the basics and researching the monotub tek that i was planning on using this go around, i previously went with a sgfc with aluminum baking pans in it the last time, they worked out great. but not a insane yield.


The first grow was with rye berries spawned to horse poo vermiculite mix all pasteurized, this go around i didnt want to steal horse poo from my neighbor so this time around i bought the 25lb bulk horse manure substrate thats been pasteurized, and a 12 pk of the sterilized rye berry qt jars all from out-grow.

I've never had success with sterilization, I've only done 2 grows, first 1 sterile and failed then i pasteurized everything and had success, but the first was in a wierd green house setup not the sgfc.

I was planning on going straight from syringe this time to the rye berries then adding them to the manure substrate in a monotub this time around, that or syringe to agar then to rye berries and so on, I've never used agar though but I've been reading spitballjedis basics, and was thinking about going the agar route, Thoughts?



Sorry for the long post , after 10 years away from this hobby i had lots of thoughts and even more questions about this stuff but i didnt want to include them all in this one post.

I’d recommend going through the trouble of learning agar work. Even vendors syringes can be dirty. Anyway agar will help you check just that.
