Cool trick lemons and limes stay good for an incredibly long time submerged in water in a sealed jar in the refrigerator.

Homeade French onion soup. I've never made it before. It was pretty easy and tasty. I had an unexpected bag of onions, and said fuck it.

i need to get me some marrow bones, i dont know what i did wrong, i either put my oven on like 200, or perhaps i broiled at 350 instead of baked, anyways my frenched pork chop was still raw after 20 minutes, so i turned my oven back on, and made sure it was bake and 350 and threw it back in for 15 minutes, the end of the "tomahawk" like bone charred and some marrow spilt out, it was super duper delicious, some of my veggies charred too and were delicious, plus they were drowning in butter

i simply put 85g frozen "thai mix" veggies in a cassorle dish, put the 220g porkchop ontop of the veggie pile with the bone separated (just so i could weigh it), and then put 70g of butter ontop of the pork chop, then put in the oven

Beef shank has bone marrow in the bones.

Try 375 and COVER the meat lightly with foil. Just a flat sheet of foil above the meat is fine, it's to prevent early char or burning. The last 10 minutes you can uncover the foil cover and broil to get that char effect.

Broil means that ONLY the top heating element is used and it sets your oven temperature to 500 automatically. You only use broil if you are wanting that char look or to caramelize the sugars in the marinade for a crispy effect.

Read my last marinade recipe for chicken a few posts ago. I always broil uncovered the last 10 minutes of baking because I love that crunchy caramelized effect that broiling has on the sugars. The first 45 minutes is spent covered with foil to prevent any burning, charring or caramelizing.

For pork, your internal temperature should be 140F when done.

I didnt take a picture but it looked like a bowl of slop anyways, but shit tasted like a fastfood burger, like a bigmac or something

i melted 45g tallow in a sauce pan (i only used so much due to eating a 2:1 keto diet, you could use less)

then i dropped in 4 diced pickled peperoncini peppers ( i jst bought them for a change from pickled jalapeno) and 200g lean ground beef

once the beef and peppers cooked, i transferred to a bowl and added 20g store brand mayonaise, and 15g british recipe HP sauce (its diffrent form the north american one, you can get it on amazon for way too much money) and a diced pickle

this shit was exactly like a fast food meal, normally 200g beef and 35-45g tallow is enough to fill me for dinner, but this shit hit my bliss point i probably could ate 3 or 4 bowls as big as the one i did

More smash burgers. The two I had to cram into a hot dog buns are pork. I spread some of my homemade lard on the buns before toasting them and I’ll never skip that step again.
