OTD is that not so secret Shroomery club that unless you've been part of it for long before I've been here, you'll never be part of it.

I've tried. A few times times very unsuccessfully. And it wasn't about not having thick skin. I went there because at the time I was tired of the lovey dovey bullshit in the pub and especially TPE.
So I went in there to have some unedited conversations, and the reply rate is just so slow that it wasn't fun for me.

I can see how for members that have been in OTD for years see that place as "their" place, and I envy that to an extent. But I guess the pub will just always be "my" palce and I'm cool with that as well.

I've heard from a couple long time OTD'ers that even they believe OTD has lost a lot of what it used to have. Along with a few members of course.
