I came across a thread on a forum where people were discussing whether psychedelics can enhance sports performance. no real changes in the information after 18 years but some posters are not here anymore

I find most intoxication (which includes psychedelic intoxication) interferes with the sense of timing, however, stimulants (and lsd and psilocybin are a bit stimulating) when used moderately can improve performance including muscular coordination and the smooth appreciation of trajectories of movement.

basketball was mentioned, but any launch and target sport (e.g. archery) may be subjectively improved with psychedelics.

motocross not so much.

The purposes of stretching is multifaceted. You might think that your mind is only preventing you from doing the splits, I would like to see you give it a go if you have never tried before! Go on take some gear and tell yourself, it is only your mind holding you back!

Athletes of all types are into abusing performance enhancing drugs. If you can think of a drug, it has been tried and tested in ways that will make you think people are insane. On a regular basis how many professional athletes do you think are tripping to increase performance?

A mini dose of cubes or ochras (0.4g ish) is great as a preworkout.  Stimulating and helps to push harder on sets.

Years ago, I played Ms. PacMan under the influence of cubes.  I was in the comedown "afterglow" phase.  I played better than ever.  Made it through so many screens that the ghosts no longer turned blue at all.  It was the fast version where ms pacman went way faster than the ghosts.  I played so long that people from all over the bar came to watch.  Was completely unbelievable.  Never played like that before or since. 

I think sometimes psychedelics can put you into the "flow" state where you are just kind of one with the thing you are doing and that is amazing.    Interesting read.

mushrooms and flow-state style video games can be amazing if conditions align (ie, you aren't turned too far into a bowl of pudding to even press the buttons) i can imagine pac-man being perfect for this sort of thing. during one trip i was feeling inspired to load up street fighter 6 and started fucking around in training mode and was able to figure out and pull off high damage combos that i was completely at a loss how to replicate the next morning after sobering up.

i want to experiment with pac-man on shrooms now myself, now that you got me thinking about it. i also bet vertical shooters like dodonpachi would be amazing. trying to think of other games that are all about getting you all tranced out

One of my favorite experiences was snowboarding on a hit of acid on a solid 12" pow day. I'm usually a pretty good snowboarder and can rip pow well enough, but this was something else. I felt like I was being propelled by an endless flow of electricity that gave me endless confidence and ability, I could literally see it all around me, a almost rhizomorphic blue lightning that went with me all over the mountain. I aired out side hits like I've never done before or since, did cliff drops that would usually make me shit my pants with no worries, I tore through waist deep moguls like they were groomers...it was truly something else and it is difficult to capture how perfect everything felt with words.

The funny thing is, normal activities like getting on the chairlift or hitting the loo felt clumsy and weird, but as soon as I was going, it started up again and I was one with the flow. I had some crazy visuals that I normally don't get on acid, a particularly memorable one was while riding a chairlift - I was just looking around enjoying the light overlay of fractals all over the beautiful landscape when all of a sudden, a crystalline looking butterfly materialized in my field of vision, fluttered around a bit, and poofed out. Usually I find visuals to meld with the environment pretty seamlessly, but this was like someone etched a butterfly out of some translucent crystal right in front of my eyes. I couldn't stop laughing when I saw it, I'm sure the people next to me thought I was nuts. They would be correct.

I went home a very very happy camper that day. Turns out snowboarding on acid is pretty rad.

When I came home after Ayahuasca, for that weekend I could not miss a shot in billiards. It was like I could see what was going to happen before it even happened. I remember being able to visualize lines like I could never before. On top of that my mind felt clear. Like putting on glasses and suddenly you can see the world. Everything was different.
