You're at the mercy of my gallery. Green button above my avatar. Fortunately, it's organized by species.

Finally looks like I'm able to get sth "clean" from LC of azurescens I bought. 2 previous attempts of LC to grain failed with pure contamination …

This time I "cleaned" it on agar, and than transferred to sterilised wood chips with 10% add of wheat bran.

I'll wait for full colonisation and I'll try to fruit it in my basement, as probably it is too late to move it outdoor

Wild boars have digged my cyanescens patch.

Tried to save as many fruits as possible.
At least those which did’t get squished.
They were cleaned and are in my dehydrator now.

Still trying to get some spore prints from my fruits.
The last time i tried the fruits were very old and wide opened.
I assume i was too late.

Will do my next try with those fruits which were not crumbed with soil by the boars.

Nice pots!
Do you keep your pots outside unroofed or do you water them manually?

Thanks!

They normally sit under a large white jasmine bush where it's shady but they still get some rain water. They get watered about once a week during the dry part of Summer and put up next to the house under the eaves for any freezes. If we go into a deep freeze they go into the garage or well house.

Will try growing azures and cyans it pots, too next year.
Got a few pots of azure myc colonizing in my garage.
Cyans will follow in the next weeks.
Our woods are full of boars, so maybe growing in pots at home is the safer option.

If those plates stay clean i will use them to make slants to save the genetics until i successfully make my own prints of both species.

Heya party people! I'm looking to get some wavy caps and P. Oviod going indoors to compliment the standard cubes I'm trying to run but I'm a novice mycologist. Could I get a reading on how practical it is for these things to have a home inside and still live a good life? (I'm doing it for the love of the game) Also preferred substrate from people that know first hand would be fantastic.

Many thanks - conz0r

Any reason it has to be indoors? If you have any outdoors space at all if only a balcony, you can grow Cyans and Ovoids. It's not impossible indoors but much more problematic than outdoors. If at all possible I would recommend starting there. The first half of the process is/can be done indoors anyway

So no outdoor space whatsoever but! I have a still air room with two massive double windows that open right out.

What if come time that outdoor conditions are needed I place the tub right up at the window with them open so they can get direct sunlight and all the fresh air they could ever want. Bring the outdoors in kinda thing.

Or am I still facing a challenge? I'm a novice so I don't want to disrespect them by trying to force them into a square peg.

Fruiting is going to be the challenge. The mycelium will grow fibe in the same sort of conditiobs as cubes but once you get into fruiting stage you need to find ways to get and keep the substrate very moist and simultaneously make sure of a good temperature drop to under 10°C.

It's a fun project but don't count on massive flushes or anything. Getting a few fruits at all is a win. Unless you want to go all out with modified fridges and or can grow in a cold cellar. There's posts and threads on here where people have had reasonable success.

I encourage you to try anyway though, because everybody's unique conditions and skills can make all the difference.
