I’ve gotten a stern talking to by a few mods, don’t ever recall it being mush.  If it ever comes up just be reasonable and discuss it(in pm), they’ve always been calm and reasonable with me :shrug:

How important is exposure nowadays? I feel like the feds (in my state at least) have just given up and decided to focus on hard drugs instead. Went to a concert a while back, police everywhere and food stalls openly advertising mushrooms. Granted the mushrooms weren't stored in the open so I'm not sure if they were cubes or amanita.

Exposure would be heavily dependent on where you live, who you hang with and your own mistakes.

My little cousin is a narcotics officer in a place where fentanyl is the issue. I’ve had conversations with him. He and the entire unit don’t give two fucks about anything except fentanyl and coke. However if you’re dumb and get caught with shit that’s on you. (Example of “your own mistake” )

If you live where the cops do care watch out.

If you hang around a bunch of degenerate's involved with fentanyl or blow you will eventually get wrapped up and they will try and use you to set up your friends.
(Example of “who you hang with” and “your own mistake”)

I was worried about sharing political views, having them flagged by software, and all my mushroom grows being turned over to cops.

If I was only growing mushrooms, it wouldn't have felt so sketchy.  But when the antifa executive order was signed on Monday, I had to gtfo. 

Anyway, remember privnote is your friend when trading.  And not to criticize authoritarian regimes where they might hear you.

Yeah that's the trouble. I haven't followed the news recently (finally! I can do it!). But apparently your dickhead president has declared antifa a terrorist organisation. Our neonazi government followed suit and - again, apparently - now a law is in the making declaring antifa a terrorist organisation.

Well I can twist and turn and spew lies until I get abducted by aliens, but I'm a stone obvious antifa. And I criticize whatever, whenever, who's going to stop me. Nothing wrong with that of course, but if discord fucks me over for that and I incriminate myself on discord...

The most fucky thing is, I assumed it was a safer platform, you know, closed groups with a few hundred participants, as opposed to this giant website with 600k registrations... That's why my first avatars were all antifa propaganda.

I don't remember if I shared this but this was the context from last week that got me really paying attention to how the wind was blowing.  Then the executive order Monday.

Three cops called the guy for sharing an ironic purchase in a discord DM with friends.

I have no idea discords law enforcement ties with other regimes, they're a US based company.  So, I imagine they are more likely to bend the knee to Trump voluntarily than they will outside the US.  As they have more to gain here than abroad.

And for anyone that can't be bothered to read the article, this was a voluntary report to law enforcement. There were no subpoenas or warrants.  And no report of the discord message, it was software that flagged it for review.

Sure, and while I am fighting in court about my first amendment rights being violated, I am also in a DHS or ICE internment facility or possibly being disappeared to a different country.

None of those are great options for anyone, but especially not a trans woman living in America right now.
