Still making the holes but it usually need a little extra later in the grow.  You can also just add more holes but the zipper is nice and easy

2 BRF pucks that have been hanging around, quite dry, so I soaked them, rolled in coir, and placed onto a bottom layer of coir. Wrap it up in a 2 gallon ziploc, moisten slightly, and GO!!!!  I hope this will help me save this pesky steel magnolia culture I've got.

Melmac twin towers in a Faht bag.  I added wet perlite to keep the humidity up.

Thank you faht for the Tek! First small mush is growing after a month I put it into FC. Is that how long it usually takes? Albino Melmac Coast (Shakti). First grow, so no reference, at least for cubes, growing pans simultaneously and they pinned after 10 days.
Cheers!

I have one can of tropicals and two cans of coir left, so I'm gonna try this ziploc method.

Moved the twin towers to the PMP, pan cake was toast.  I do love my Faht bags but I'm not ready to break down the PMP just yet.

Been having fun with these since I'm out of tubs. Been doing mostly smaller freezer bags but now I have the extra large.

A recent Gemini success.

Unfortunately, I think I made a few with coir that was too wet (bottom of the barrel woes, I need to mix it more when its still hot)

There is no bacterial smell, but the mycelium seems to be having a tough time colonizing it. Is there anything I can do to mitigate this? Maybe put it a bit close to a heat source?

I also made some with straw for fun, seems to be doing well so far!

Man this tek is great. I had what I thought were a few dead/stalled grows. I moved them to the garage where it's around 80 degrees and they erupted over the. Last week. They were starting to squish up against the bag so I tool them out and put them in a large tub with moist perlite.

These are starry night ape.

I figured out why so many of my grows failed... The room was too cold for fruiting conditions. Next batch I'm gonna do s2b in the same room, then when fruiting stickem in the garage.
