I don't know I just saw a reddit post, could have been like law they are trying to pass and not on the books yet, there was some guy, I assume a Democrat ripping into a guy on Trump's team in some sorta Senate meeting or something I don't even know what American politics do like where they argue stuff, in Canada they argue in parliament meetings

Bro... the last time I did my taxes.. I owed a lot, and I was homeless.

Sooo... I didn't file them. And then I never filed my taxes again.. It's been 5 years.. I feel like this will all end badly, but I am ill equipped to deal with it.. cuz I'm a heavy drug addict.

Hope I don't get Wesley Snipe'd before I get Kurt Cobain-ed...

.. Joplin-ed?

Ugh... Brian Jones-ed?

You get the thing.. like that!

What's fucked up.. I think those son's of bitches owe me more than I owe them!

Fuck my life.

I dont think we should be taxing poor people this is insane. Folks are already having a hard time affording basic necessities like avocados and cell phones and things are tough all over. I think we should be very concerned that a tax like this would seriously stifle the economy and rattle markets globally. Once again it just seems like you people are hell bent on shooting ourselves in the foot and manufacturing a recession for dumbass reasons. I mean is there nothing prescient about choosing leaders with a pathological narcissism mixed with an unbounded entrepreneurial spirit, peppered with a life mission of compensatory revenge?

Cynicism, in and of itself, does not solve any of the timeless problems of humanity -- for instance, common cold, hunger, sanitation, etc, etc, -- in a benign way. Yet, those solutions are offered via the popularity contest. It begs the question of how one's time might budgeted, between being self absorbed and public life, in which we are engaged, right here, while not actively solving any of those problems.

It’s going to be bad for everyone except the billionaires that aren’t going to pay taxes.
Medicaid and Medicare cuts. No more food for hungry children. No more insurance for people out in the boondocks. No more rural hospitals.

All of the rural people that voted for Donald Trump are going to have to commute to the city to get life-saving treatment or perish.

Well, I've got good news! Once the 30% tariffs are implemented across the board, assuming that consumers maintain current levels of consumption, we won't need to pay income tax! A simple 30% flat consumption tax is enough to replace income tax entirely!

Of course, we might need to adjust that percentage upwards a bit if people stop buying so much stuff.
