Hiking the Entire Appalachian Trail on Mushrooms

I am presently in the process of attempting to hike the entire Appalachain Trail under the influence of Psilocybin mushrooms and LSD.
I'm taking mushrooms daily and LSD every 10 days. So far I'm 32 days in.
My daily mushroom dose has been between .5-2.0g. Most days I'm 1-1.5g.
I journal daily with a wireless keyboard. My journals aren't so much about the psychedelics directly, although I do address them.

Before this I have walked from Mexico to Canada on the PCT and the CDT and used mushrooms, MDMA, DMT, and LSD on all those trails. I've posed about it on here if you look at my past posts.
If you have questions or curiosities I'm happy to field them here.

I am interested to know the why on drugs? I love nature. I have done a lot of walks on LSD and mushrooms and have really enjoyed doing that. I have discovered that I am more aware of nature when I am sober though. I can understand doing it every now and then but that long while ingesting sounds like I would be missing so much.

It's a fair question.
The short answer is that I want to see what comes of it.
Longer answer will likely necessitate a book that I hope to write after the trail.
I have not experienced what you describe in using mushrooms or LSD on trail. It has not taken me away from the trial. It does lead me to be more introspective, process things from my past, play with new ideas. And in a sense, I guess you could say this is "taking me away" from the experience of being in nature. But I feel comfortable with 5 months out here that I'm not going to just miss out on the trail by being on substances. Although I'm tripping daily, I feel that in terms of total portion of the day, I'm spending much more of my time either sober or in an "afterglow" state, which brings me much more in connection with the nature around the trail.
So why with substances? Because I want to spawn ideas and thinking that I could not or would not be likely to produce otherwise. Does it bring me away from nature? Probably not, but if it does, I spend a lot of my time still sober.
