Lysol is a decent anti-bacterial, but does very little against mold spores...the #1 enemy. It is phenol based, and phenol being rather nasty stuff to inhale, it is naturally a very weak solution. Bleach has its problems, but it will work worlds better than Lysol. I use a hospital grade ammonium chloride disinfectant, it kills everything but doesn't produce nasty fumes like bleach, and won't ruin your clothes/carpet/etc. Only problem is the price, its much more expensive than bleach.

that's areally good, informative post.
as puscle said you really know your stuff, and it's the sort of stuff that is good to have explained to you.
when i first started trying to grow, i was really intimidated by the sterility thing. now i have it pretty well under control, but this thread makes me more understanding of the options and reasoning.
only problem i have sometimes is with the brand names.
glen 20 is i think the = of lysol. antibacterial spray.
haven't heard of the other gear tho, 'cept of course alchol and bleach.
