Have you had a chance to try it out yet? Looks like it might be easier than deburring metal lids.

Picked up some #12 blades per a recommendation and tried them out for the first time today. Gotta say I love them. Cut with the dull side and then use the hook to pull up the wedge. Feels like I have so much more control with them.

If y'all could stop showing me these QoL improvements, that'd be greeeeat.

I have some #12s that are bladed on both sides. I haven't used them much yet, but they seem good.

I couldn’t resist. The ‘zon is delivering 100 in 2 days. There’s no way I will ever use that many. I use mine until I accidentally deform them in the heat sterilizer. I use 2-3 per year.
Watch for some sharing in the marketplace in the next few weeks.

Way better no trying to hang on to a jar and drill. No wonky holes.

Yea i have used it a lot. It works well with the grey ships i have bought and the largest punch is just big enough to fit the luer fitting on syringe filters through. I rtv the backside of the filter and fish it through the hole

I'm apparently being wasteful bc I only use one for 1 or 2 sessions. Ill try stretching it out a bit if there's no loss of function.

I usually get several sessions out of a blade. But I do like them sharp.

500 per month? Can I ask you a few questions?

Do you feel like your agar work has negatively impacted your life - family life, job, relationship with your parents?

Do you find yourself hiding how many plates you have in a day?

Have any friends or family expressed concern over your use of plates? How did you react to that?

Do you feel like you need plates everyday just to feel normal?

I know this has been done a 100 times but saw metal straws at the store shopping today and the pack came with everything I needed to make a punch.  Used the wire brush as a plunger.  Even came with rubber cover I used for the handle.. all I needed was the drill.  Gotta hold it a certain way to use it one handed but does the job.

You can pull a little tension on the plunger when it’s up and it makes it really solid in the hand.  Might be a little short for SAB use but shouldn’t be a problem with my ffu

Edit: or is that sans bristles

I broke the brush tip off and just used the metal rod that slides through a hole I drilled into the straw tip before the bend
