MMk well what ever man. Depends on what side the fence ur on. Personaly I cant stand to be around him after the time I have. But I have spent enough to kinda know him. He cared about me, so I care about him. when I saw the clip I shat my self I saw him and his girl smoochen right where me and him first met on "their" front perch.

edit I am not defending him so please don hate on me.

I don't know for sure but from what I remember that doesn't look like the drunken idiot I seen all over last summer that I was told was Fast Eddie. I seen people call him Eddie and he had a crew of misfits with him but who knows? I don't know the scene that well.

I agree with you all. And you can say he tried to drag me in as well. He uses young fresh kids as tools. They are all a bunch of sad ass people. But he did teach me things. Like to always brush my teef, drugs take years of ones life, and how not to be in general.

I agree. He's totally cut off from the family. In fact if you watch him and some family walks by he just looks at the ground or turns away. He knows better to even speak to me or i'll flip out on him. The only reason he's still around is people think he still has DEA protection. Wether or not it's true we just ignore him.

The sad thing is back in the 80's he was hard core family. We all trusted him. Then the DEA busted him and he sang like a canarie.

Well to turn this conversation back to Jerry I agree with your last statement, Phil's clip was just a small part of the story, and I also wish the whole thing could have been reported upon.

The memories of standing in the second row of some of the 1,500 seat venues in 1975.....Looking up at Jerry 25 feet away, smiling, loving every second, loving the audience, loving life!

The aura of his presence weighing so heavy upon me, and the music sounding as though God had just blessed us with something so special that no words would never do it justice.

I wish that story could be the focus!

I am bitter about his death, I wish so much that he could be here to play for us but by then things had taken a tragic turn

1990......standing among 30,000 kids so young!

The band sometimes sounding great but more often than not just average. Jerry standing soooo still, no smile on his face, It was already too late. :frown:

Yeah it got nasty in the end. The music was at it's absolute worse in the early 80's though. It got better around 86 and stayed decent with some very special nights here and there up until the end. It never reached the peak consistancy of the early 70's and late 60's agian. That period was amazing. It's hard to find a bad show from 69-73.
After touch of grey came out and all the frat boys looking to get fucked up came around you could see the end.

It couldn't last forever though. I'll just count my blessings that I got to spend well over 300 evenings/afternoons with him filling me with love note by note. :heart:
