"Taoist Sex" is derived from Chinese Taoism, as you may know.
It is basically a system for personal "longevity" or "health".
In some cases, they seem to have had group sex as "festivity".

In Chinese Taoist Sex, you absorb life energy from female genital organ, basically.

I had never heard the idea taken so literally. The vitality concerning prana is obviously not referring to that sort of health to any modern practitioner. This is something you would hear about at least in modern scientific correlation, let alone in Hugh Hefner. And even if there was a correlation, I doubt many people would take the measures to gain five or even ten years to their later life.

A more useful interpretation of Prana concerns the "cycle of birth and death" as applicable in discerning western minds to Freud's Libido, or any similarly comprising theory. It concerns mental health, the thought process, creativity etc; in vague regards to eastern/western theory; respectively, "awakening"/"behaviorism"...Not "literal longevity".

The taoists had a lot of good ideas, but they also had some very strange dogmas. From what I understand in this method the semen is not retained, but flows into the bladder if stopped at that point. Take a pee after you try this method and see what comes out. You have to have PC control (further up the river) to really have this sort of control.
