first time failure

F :thumbdown:   irts time Pf tek failed. B+ in incubator 80-86 F like three months gave up (bad substrate mix I asssume). Ordered 5 different strains (syringes) and mixed 2/1/1 verm,BRF,water in 5 jars and innoculated them with a whole B+ syringe after shaking.But the jars look very dry as they did before.Now should I make sure the substrate is very moist (squeezing til a drop comes out). Or just stick to the 2/1/1 method? Because the jars look like dry dirt. Incubator is a TIT with a fish tank heater in first tub. Heat fluxatuates 80-86 no light. How Moist Is Moist?????

Oh Yeah No comtams after 3 months. So sterility is not an issue.

just getting frustrated after all this effort. It's like having no brake lights and checking all the fuses. But its simply a bad bulb.!!!

The ingrediance read "long grain brown rice" thats it... I made flour out of it.(fine grain).

I have not had any luck with BRF. Think water content is off.
However rye grass seed flower and millet flower have been kind to me.
Germination 3 to 5 days in a tub in tub.

It sucks because I live in Florida and wild mushroooms are readily available but I have neither the motavation nor the willl to get caught to find wild mushrooms to make spore prints and persue my new found hobbie. Like I said I't's one small point I'm leaving out.

I used the MMGG AND am eating my first batch in 10 minutes. 6 weeks after inoc. Maybe i'm just lucky for a newb. I do have some B+ jars that won't grow and it's been like 3 weeks?????
