Weilii grow in the summer?

I've been out searching for Weilii for about a year off and on, I found a patch in a business area in woodstock, it's a big tree surrounded by about a 40 foot circumfrence of pine needles covering pure red clay. I've always found them by the hundreds there in the fall, but I'm seeing posts that theyre up in the summer?

Are they few and far between in the summer or are they worth my 35 minute drive to check? If so I'll head out after the next heavy rainfall  :grin:

Oh, and if anyone wants to come with me I live in Dallas GA, email me at i2ancid123@yahoo.com, i'd be happy to share my spot as its an incredibly abundant producer. Last time I checked (spring) there were mycellium networks all throughout the pine needles, presumably weilii.

Fall is their main season, but you will see a few fruits during the summer.

Really really cool. I live in Woodstock havent been hunting lately because i havent had any success the past few weeks. But since seeing reports of weilii i might go get my hunting gear and try to find some.

Eh, we really don't have rules about people inviting others to go hunting with them. Really it's just supposed to go in the Gathering forum.

I'm not acusing anyone of anything, but always keep your paranoid senses in mind. Law enforcement probably monitors these boards. Think twice about meeting up with people from a drug related website. Granted that you could probably get out of the charge because it's entrapment(maybe), I sure as hell wouldn't want to risk meeting up with some stranger who could possibly be a cop to go pick illegal mushrooms.
