Muddling Recipes
    #2838451 - 06/29/04 03:20 AM (12 years, 5 months ago)

Muddling is a dying art. Do your best to keep it alive, post your favourite muddles here.

Feel free to make drinks more or less deadly (I'm guessing more), but be prepared to lose a bit of taste. I'm a big fan of vodka, so feel free to substitute if you like gin, or white rum or whatnot. Hell, feel free to substitute anything, this is muddling! The below recipes serve four.

Orange Muddler
4 shots vodka or tequila
2 shots Triple Sec
6 small, flavourful oranges (tangerines work well)
4 peaches/nectarines
1/2 lime, optional

Berry Muddler
4 shots vodka
2 shots white rum
1 dry pint blueberries
1 dry pint strawberries
1 dry pint raspberries
dash mint

Raspberry Muddler
4 shots vodka
4 shots chocolate liqueur
1 pound raspberries
5 oz premium chocolate syrup
pomegranate molasses to taste, optional

Enjoy!

What is the common characteristic that makes a muddle a muddle?

And also When does one become a Muddler? While mixing the Muddle? or After drinking the Muddle?

Why, a muddle is a drink made from muddled fruit.

Basically, booze and blended fruit.
