Is it worth it to YOU? That's the question...if it is something you really want that you have saved your money for, and you will love it for a long time, and it will last a long time- then, yeah, it will probably be worth it to you. :smile:  Sometimes you gotta splurge on yourself a little.  I have a $10 watch from target and I'm wearing a t-shirt I got for $5, but I will spend $1000-$2500 on live music this year. It all comes down to priorities.

I have a Kinetic also, that's about 5 years old and it is awesome. Never have to replace a battery, never have to look hard for the time, and it looks fuckin cool. It's expensive mainly because of the tech--it runs on kinetic energy, your arm moving around. That's cool.

That watch looks bad ass. You all can have your own opinion but mine is that watch is Pimp. How often would you look at it if you had it? Maybe 40 times a day? Wouldn't you want to look at something cool that many times a day?

Mine was about twice that price, but we got it in St. Thomas in the Caribbean half price.

Annnnnnd I had a light saber and my friend was there and I said "you look like an indian" and he said "you look like satan" and he found a stick and a rock and he named the rock ooga booga and he named the stick Stick and we both thought that was pretty funny. We got eaten alive by mosquitos but didn't notice til the next day. I stepped on some glass while wading in the swamp and cut my foot open, didn't bother me til the next day either....yeah it was a good time, ended the night by buying some liquor for minors and drinking nips and going to he diner and eating chicken fingers, and then I went home and went to bed.

Do people still wear watches? since everybody owns a cellphone and there is a clock on all cellphones (and all owns a cellphone) noone wears them anymore. Its not often you see people with watches here in norway anylonger.

oh no another nordman!!! but I've noticed the same thing when I lived in Norway, and now that I live in Denmark, and as well (but not as much) when I lived in the States... nobody has watches anymore. I don't think I've had a watch for 3 years!

I don't have a cellphone either! I am a non-gadget person- i like to live as simply as possible. My house looks a bit like a Buddhist monastary because I don't like trinkets and shit- but I am slowly getting over that.

Anyway- I don't think i know anyone else without a cellphone....and you are right....if I did have one, i don't think i'd have a watch! And speaking of....i haven't had a watch since I was probably 12 but i got one this year finally- it's actually pretty nice to have :wink: .
