All righty, already.

I know many may agree this post sure be in the market place but becasue this is a botanical queiry onthe identity of a floral creature it should be centered in the Ethnopotanical Garden.

Whomever first correctly names the botanical name and local name and what seeds they produce will win a beautiful large spore specimen of copelandia sp. (unidentified Cope) from the Fields of Ban Lipa Yai. ALso the leaves are very heart shaped.

Mj

Hopefuly, I hope the mods here will let this stay inthis space.

Thanks in advance.

mj

I saw lots of those large HBWR plants in Thailand last year (Koh Phi Phi). I'm pretty sure those pics were taken in Thailand too. I couldn't find any seeds on them though. Maybe others harvested them allready...
Nice pics, thank you for sharing.

The plant is on Koh Samui. However, until I see the seed pods appear i have no idea if it is woodrose. The large woodrose seeds are not psychoactive but it resembles the hawaiian ones I picked for years and sold in High Times. I will be on the island until the end of August and if and when the seeds do appear i will send a few people free pritns for the ID up until this post here that I made so all who already answered will get a print. I return home at the wend of august, but have to go Cambodia in July for a week and then to Bangkok and then back to Samui.

So hopefully it will sed before I go.

he flowers were dropping and I cannot recall if the seeds come first or the flowers.

mj

I will keep you updated. If they do seed, I will also include seeds to those who responded above. Just everyone remind me at the end of August so as I do not forget.

Thanks to all.

mj

i believe the flowers ALWAYS come before the seeds as well as the basidiocarps come before the spores... have you been smoking anything pal?

i won't dare to bet it's nervosa but the plants really looks argyreia spp like..

take care, enjoy your trip!
there must be a lot of cool plants and fungi that deserve attention by there!
