Mycelium Syringes???
    #2802125 -

Hey... I was wondering if mycelium syringes would be a good alternative to spore syringes.... would they be as stable as spores orw would the mycelium die after a few days/weeks???

another question... could you dry mycelium to store it and then use it to cultivate new substrte when submerged in water?

they are a great alternative for fast growth but the lifespan is much shorter, I know a spore syringe can be viable for 2 years as opposed to a couple months with mecelium...

mycelium, once dried, is dead...

Spore prints are for long-term storage. Properly stored, they can last years, if not decades.

Spore syringes are good for medium-term storage and for application. A spore syringe will last more than a year in the fridge, so long as it was contam-free when it was made.

Mycelium syringes are for innoculating media. They last for a couple of weeks to a month in a fridge, from what I recall. Mostly, people use the mycelial teks to 'multiply' their spores and so that they get a "hot" innoculation, with live material.

I have been using mycelium syringes for a couple years now.
Stored in ziplock bags in the frig they will last a very long time.

Yes mycelium is faster for colonization than spores...so it is a great alternative to spore syringes.

You don't let the mycelium dry out...keep it in a sterile container in the frig.

I have a new mycelium syringe tek...coming soon.

mycelium syringes are super fast and easy to make, just fille a jar with water and add a little corn syrup, then sterilize it. next inject sporces or live material. once your jar is full of a myc could fill up your syringes. its easy as hell i just started doinging it this way and its way better than spores. after reading on myc syringe teks i was afraid id mess up and get a contam but i slacked of and even used the wrong kind of syrup and it still worked like a charm
