Many species grow in dung. You need to give more info and pictures. Read the sticky post at the top of the forum.

Well, at least you knew what I was thinking.

There's quite possibly several hundred mushrooms that grow from cow dung. Please read the forum rules and guidelines post if you'd like an ID on them.

i will post some pics of what i have been finding.

here is what i think. don't get me wrong i haven't consumed any and i haven't officially looked any of up or researched them in any way.

i'm pretty sure there are some coprinus possibly sub foe's and the rest i have no ideas. they were all found in straw and dung in a couple of different feeds lots. i assume cubes will like this environment, sone i tend to park near them when i go pond hopping.

these on the other hand, i found in the lady's yard whos pond i fish.

some type of pan or other lbm.

these were found approx a month ago. I have more pics but will take me a while to get them uploaded. but if you guys want to see them i will up them.

i have been hunting like crazy the last few weeks and i haven't seenany cubes at all. i would sure to interested in any okie harvest pics of reports.

happy hunting :-)

Peace

here are some of the others, they didn't take as long as i thought they would to upload.

these were found on the 10th of this month in the same feed lots as the others.

what do you guys think? i figure these to be pan foes even if they were subbs there were only about 15 of them total.

i believe this was a coprinus(sp).

hope you all enjoy the pics!

peace

First things first.. please start your own thread... Nojacking allowed!!!!

The first 2 photos in your second post appear
to be a species of panaeolus ... I'm not saying go and start eating them or anything use your head man cause you got alot of
inactive possibly poisonous mushrooms there... I'm not even bothering to atempt an ID....

The lighting is not very good,,,, and you need to show other
characterisics.. like the gills, spore print, base of stem (in better lighting) scanners work well, with a dark cloth over them...
also a better description of habitat will be helpful... When and if you do
find actives I hope you are placing different species in separate paper bags/containers... That way you won't contam the good with the nasties..
Keep looking and get back to us... good luck nofindum....

those two at the top are subbs if they grow on dung. plus those look like subbs not foes. at least in my area i now can tell the two a apart very well.

I was thinking the same gumbydude...
the stipe is slender and dark....
I've been finding alot of panaeolus sphinctrinus
around my way....

jben,,, not jumping on you or anything
but there is more to a determining factor
than looking similar to pictures and fruiting from
dung.... remember there are many species which
fall into the genus panaeolus....

Would it be called a family, genus, or species??????

i truely wasn't trying to jack this thread. sorry if i offended you whoa. i was just adding what i had found in OK because it seems that theree is very little information on okie shrooms. i know the lighting was for shit. to tell you the truth i was really stoned and just had an urge to share.

never fear i would never eat LBM's or anything that i didn't have a very good handle on.

i do seperate them into different bags just to keep them as clean as possible.

any idea why there is no info in the faqs for oklahoma? muSHROOMINnate over at shroom wizards site found 40 pounds of cubes not 50 miles from where i live, so i know they are are around.

anyhow if need be remove my posts from this thread and i will try to contain myself when i get too high and feel like sharin.

peace
