Hi there
Right now its in the middle of march (23, 2003) And i found a cow field wit alot of fresh cow dung. i was wondering if i can take the dung and throw it over the fence of the feild into some grass or some dirt and let it dry into the dirt. And after it rains there should be some shrooms. and is it a good time to go out and hunt for shrooms at this time of month or season?
Thanx!

depends on where your from
first leave all patties where they are. the shrooms will pop up after weeks of droppage of the shit. the mycelium has to colonize the patty first.
as far as when they'll show, it has to hit at least 80 degrees to show one or two. be patient, next month you wont be able to pick them all
all this lies true in the south, i dunno about mid or north usa

You REALLY REALLY REALLY need to read the mushroom hunting FAQ. You need to know what you're doing before you go out and look for mushrooms. No offense, but it's pretty obvious that you've got some reading to do.
There's a lot more to it than just slinging cow shit around, waiting for rain, and hoping mushrooms grow. You have to live in the right states. You have to know what mushrooms to look for. You have to know the key pieces of identifying mushrooms. Just check out the mushroom hunting FAQ, it'll help you out A TON.
