Hey! Should I go see "The Chronicles of Riddick" tonight??

Yeah, go see it...and let me know how it is. I always like a good sci-fi movie. Riddick was a great character. A good choice for a spin-off. I hope the movie is done well.

It looks like it has a crappy script and bad acting. Plus, the CG is sub-par. That's just my opinion, though.

I can tell a bad movie 95% of the time, though, just from watching the trailer.

actually I'm looking forward to it because they use these huge, elaborte real-world sets and don't rely on green-screening everything (*cough*motherfuckinggeorgelucas*cough*). Plus I'm a fan of Pitch Black and the character of Riddick is kinda interesting..

I'm gonna see this in the theatre, probably this weekend. I expect it to be at least a decent action/sci-fi.

i really want to see this. it's not really the acting and special effects of the movies i like, it's more of the story line i want to see. tell us how you liked it..

I boycott these movies because they are made soley to make the two actor's look "extreme", and deadly. There both 100% pop-movies, and well. I'm just dont dig them.

I'll agree with most of vin diesel's movies. The exceptions would be pitch black, the boiler room and probably chronicles of riddick as well.

Okay, I just got back from the movie. 

I don't want to give too much away, so I will just say that it was an enjoyable film to watch.  Once more people see the film, we can discuss quibbles.  :wink: 

Would I recommend it?  Sure!  :smile:

Yep, I'd recommend it. I would say it's one of the better sci-fi action movies I've seen. Still not as good as say, Aliens or the first Matrix movie, but not far behind either on my list. I liked the imagery, the story and the characters. Hopefully they can continue some of the story.

No one really slamming it so far. Could be promising.

The trick to sci-fi action flicks is to go in to it for the pure entertainment factor. If you can't just sit back and be entertained then why bother? Some people try too hard to critique every film they see down to the tiniest detail. Although I will do that with some movies, I don't think that it is nessecary all the time. Once in a while its nice just to suspend dis-belief and enjoy some mindless entertainment.

I will go see this one....
