It's important to actually read things instead of listening to idiots ramble in an echo chamber. It's also important to keep reading new things so you don't make a fool of yourself by confusing science with fortune telling. The vaccines were working great and now they're not working as well, and that's not at all surprising, even among the conspiracy guys with basic critical thinking skills. If your mechanic told you that your car was working great a year ago, and it broke down today, then calling the mechanic a liar makes look like the idiot who can't check his oil and tire pressure.

It seems to me that strains are mutating WAY faster than vaccines ever can.

So basically vaccines are just getting more and more useless because by the time one comes out for a variant, we are already like 3 or 4 variants ahead of that.

The vaccines are still doing a pretty decent job. There's room for improvement, but I wouldn't bitch about them being useless. The combination of widespread vaccinations and previous infection seems to have created enough herd immunity to keep the hospitals safe. That was one of the major goals of the vaccination push. Everybody still has high expectations about not getting sick because they've been spoiled by the covid vaccines being so badass early on (when badass vaccines were most needed). Now there's enough immunity to avoid overburdening the hospitals too badly, so we can go back to caring about people as the entitled first-world individuals they are. If there's anyone out there that hasn't been vaccinated yet, then it's probably still a good idea to get it, and it's the same with boosters. The antibodies still have activity against the new strains, and high titers might make the difference between a real recovery and having your dick never work again. Long covid is pretty common, and the vaccines seem to help prevent it.

i wonder if in fify years, it is verified that covid-19 is a fully psychosomatic disease process, if the people of the world will feel that they were lied to and tricked, or will they just assume that the people who were supposed to be informing them about this were ignorant?

There truly are some crazy gullible suckers out there, and you're one of them man. Even speculating that covid's psychosomatic is batshit insane. This is the first I've heard that idea, so I'm going to assume that it's part of your personal brand of crazy. I hope that you and durian can find a way to make some sort of word-salad beat poetry together. I think there's potential there.

He's apparently so deluded that he can't even recognize that a widespread infectious disease has a physical cause. He doesn't sound like he has the capacity to make his own decisions. I'm still holding out hope for some beatnik poetry though. I kinda want to see something that adds a little coherence to durian's ideas, but that still let's durian wreak havoc with basic sentence structure and continuity. "they only think they are dead" is a great working title.
