That's easier said than done. Doxy is a pretty strong antibiotic that often lays people out for days. You have to be able to take time off when you're not "sick."


I'm also skeptical that a single dose will actually stop Lyme or the coinfections. That is also considering the huge denial of Lyme for decades,  and the recent "ooopsie" the CDC issued admitting their underestimation of Lyme in the USA.

I had houseguests. They dragged me along on many of their public activities. I thought, “Nobody else is wearing a mask. Fuck it, I need to loosen up.” Ditched the mask and circulated through crowds of people with my friends. Houseguests finally left. I’m sick as a dog today.

I didn't know someone was going to know they were sick and go around other people on purpose

I went to a butter tart festival on Saturday, the day after, I wore a mask just in case I was sick even tho I didn't feel sick

Today I woke up at like 6 and fell back asleep around 7, but I felt freezing well I was sleeping and I thought oh noes, but I woke up now at 10 and I dont feel cold anymore

That's even worse! It may suck, but the masks do work. Just see all the old ladies in China/Asia for the last 20 years when in public.


I always wear two masks when out, even in open air settings if lots of people are nearby. An N95 underneath, and a bandanna over that. I have a bushy goatee, even if trimmed back, and full/tight coverage is hard to achieve. I'll often tuck the bandana into my shirt collar to get better coverage.


The whole goal is still to.not get or spread the virus. I'll repeat, the long term effects.of Covid are not.known, and serious short/medium-term effects are just coming to light.

LOL I used to take doxycycline just for acne. The only side effect I remember is sunburn. Idk what is meant by strong antibiotic- broad spectrum? Lots of side effects?

Doxy has been always been gentle on me whenever I’ve needed to take it. 
On the other hand something like clindamycin wreaks me…
