New Evidence Prison Torture Was Approved at Top Levels
    #2776005 -

Read about it here.

--------------------
To call humans 'rational beings' does injustice to the term, 'rational.'  Humans are capable of rational thought, but it is not their essence.  Humans are animals, beasts with complex brains.  Humans, more often than not, utilize their cerebrum to rationalize what their primal instincts, their preconceived notions, and their emotional desires have presented as goals - humans are rationalizing beings.

How the hell do you think you get Muslims to talk without actually harming them physically?

I think they were doing a fine job, and can only hope that if I am ever held hostage by a enemy government, they TORTURE me the same way.

You do realize that prisoners were anally raped with objects and dogs chewed on the naked prisoners and prisoners died during these tortures, don't you? Do you think that what is seen on CNN is the worst that happened?

You would like to be kept without clothing, forced to eat out of a toilet, covered with toxic chemicals, forced to masturbate in front of other people, attacked by guard dogs, left hanging by your ankles upside down for a week, not allowed to sleep, shocked with electricity, and anally raped with chemical light sticks.

How people can be so outraged when Saddam does these things, yet so complicit when our own soldiers do them is beyond me.

Exactly. I don't get that. Plus, shouldn't we hold ourselves to a higher moral standard?

So you are equally outraged when one idiot skinhead youth beats up a Jew as you are against Hitlers genocidal campaign against the Jews, right?

If not, may I offer a reason why?

One of them is offically sanctioned, condoned and ordered by a leader of state. The other most likely wasn't. Even if it was, the abuse of a few prisoners pales in comparison to the intentional murder and torture of a race of people.

So moral relativism makes U.S. state sanctioned torture ok? By your same reasoning, a man who has only commited one murder is really a good person (or maybe, just not such a bad guy) because there have been numerous serial killers and mass murderers throughout history. Brilliant!

If the death of one person is 'bad', then the death of 15,000,000 of them would have to be "worse". Right?

15 million?

This is off topic but your numbers are way off, at MOST 6 million jews were killed.

I personally don't even believe it was that many but 15 million is completely wrong.

Yes. However, that 15,000,000 should be murdered does not make the murder of one a moral act. It is still an immoral act.
