Can Amanita ocreata (Destroying Angel)live in south carolina. If it can I found one.Its that good that I didnt eat it.

They are a western specie.According to BlueWillowPages.

I dont know what the fuck i found then..  Fit the descriptions perfect and it has whit spore print...  I am so confused  :confused:..

There are several species of Amanita that could be described using the common name "Destroying Angel". They are all similar in that they are all white, have a ring on the stem, and a saclike volva. They all contain potentially lethal levels of amatoxins.

Identifying exactly which one you've found requires a microscope. You don't need a microscope to be pretty sure (as you realize) that none of them should be eaten.
