I dont think theyre called ching Chong jokes anymore I think theyre just called racist jokes. Personally I find them a bit crass offensive in that it's the type of comedy that is the low hanging fruit and most unrefined. These type of people get off on getting on others which is actually the antithesis of comedy. It's not funny when others are hurt or belittled. It's just spreads more hurt and pain in a world of shit thats not what comedy is about thats not what jokes are for:nonono:

If I make a joke and the punchline is that Asians are good at math, I don't think that should be viewed the same way as a joke where a jew ends up in the oven.  You guys call them both racist/prejudice but one is clearly much more offensive in my mind.  Just my 2 cents

In other news, I'm wondering if and when I should get the 4th booster shot.


When I went to get my 3rd, they didn't even ask me when I got my first two they just gave me the shot.


I just had covid so I'm thinking maybe wait a month or two and get a 4th booster if the CDC thinks so?

There's no need to vaccinate against an infectious disease like omicron. If other variants that are more deadly continue to exist, periodically catching omicron is functionally equivalent to getting vaccinated against those other variants. Unless something really weird happens, I don't see any deadly variants overtaking omicron and similar mutations that may be even more contagious and less virulent. This has almost certainly happened before and will certainly happen again. Without the vaccine, a lot more people would have died from covid in earlier stages of the pandemic. The original virus was no joke. All but two of the deaths I've seen in my nursing career took place in the course of about 3 months

wow, that makes perfect sense... and thanks for sharing that.

Anyone with half a brain can see that this is information from the continued front lines and to continue to remain unvaccinated is rolling the death dice.

Just a matter of time till their numbers come up= death. Dummies IMO

since i Just had Omicron( and was tripple vaxed before that)... how long do you think before I can easily catch it again? once a year?

Also, I have no idea if it was delta or omicron BTW... but let's say it was omicron. What is my reinfection timeline?

4 months, last I heard

Omicron is a baby disease. Flu and RSV are much worse. Assuming what I am seeing when people test positive for SARS COV 2 is omicron lately

To be honest probably not. I didn't get the flu vaccine until I was obligated to. Which was probably stupid in retrospect because the flu is actually a real deal problem. I've never had any side effects from the flu vaccine other than a bit of arm soreness

The flu has never killed 2000 people a day like omicron has been for the past month. Omicron has killed 100,000 people in the US. Even the Spanish flu never killed 2000 people in one day
