We don't need Mexicans though. More than enough Canadian/American truckers are vaccinated to keep shit flowing just fine. A small percent of Russian funded bug spreader truck drivers was enough to block cities and the border. They were able to hold the country hostage because there is no way to move the trucks. They are not a the majority or even close. They fully know how unnecessary they are and acting like children, like the entitled white people they are.

I'm hoping they ask the US military for help. Justin will look like the bitch he is if he does. America should care about this we are fucking up the supply chain for your auto industry. I predict the bullets start flying soon, cops or military. About time too every left wing protest is met with extreme police violence, now they do nothing because its a bunch of fat white people, just like them.

That is simply not true. That is a POSSIBILITY yes, but I am unvaccinated,recovered in days, recovered smell in 11 days, never needed to go to the hospital.

Why are you here to just argue? "Remind me again" is basically just an admission you're being purposefully obtuse. No, no one thinks we can eliminate coronaviruses from the eco system. I don't think anyone who knows what they are talking about has ever said that. If it's virulent you can get it multiple times. If it's a crap shoot for severity then it's only a matter of time. If repeated exposure can lead to long term illness, regardless of severity, then you're more likely to deteriorate than someone who got vaccinated. Lots of people ride motorcycles without helmets but they're most likely to be pavement paint than the guy who spends $2000 on his gear

I agree.  But I also think it is worth considering the style of that motorcycle rider.

Spending 2000 on gear doesn't give you the freedom to ride like a careless asshole.

My perspective, as someone who works in the pharmaceutical insurance industry, is that people just want the easiest possible solution to any threats.

Our company gets tons of calls everyday from people who bitch that we won't cover drugs prescribed for weightloss.  These drugs get more and more popular everyday. 

Now a vaccine is oranges to the apples I'm describing but the average person has the same thought process.  There's no concern given to diet and exercise or a healthy lifestyle in general, nope just get a shot so I don't have to worry.  It's gross.

At this point, I am only wearing a mask when around other people to protect them in case they are immuno-compromised or elderly.

I literally couldn't care any less about protecting unvaccinated people at this point. 

I support vaccine mandates because that means there is less chance of immuno-compromised/elderly people getting seriously sick and/or dying.

It's worth trying to convince as many people as possible to get vaccinated because ICU space is limited and Covid isn't the only thing it's needed for. The mandates making certain things inconvenient if you're unvaccinated aren't going to change the minds of the lunatic fringe, but they can motivate people who otherwise couldn't be bothered.

At a certain point though it's a situation of diminishing returns, where most people not strongly opposed to getting vaccinated will have done so, and everyone vaccinated or unvaccinated has been exposed anyway.

At the same time though, I have zero sympathy for these stupid fuckers throwing a tantrum about the mandates and fucking with other ordinary people's lives in doing so. The stupid fuckers dying from the disease I can sympathize with.

If I get covid, which i'm pretty sure i've already had, I'm not taking up ICU spaces. So what does it matter if I'm vaccinated or not. Keep in mind vaccinated people also spread the disease.

It's not a binary thing though. It sure would be surprising if they spread it to the same degree as an unvaccinated person, given that vaccination reduces the chance of a severe case so much. How would that be the case unless the vaccine makes your immune system better able to find and destroy the virus, like it was designed to? And if it does, wouldn't that imply less virus particles in your body during the infection and thus less to spread to others?


At some point the average unvaccinated person may have caught it enough times that there is no difference any more in ICU and death rates. Minus the ones dead along the way, and glossing over possible cumulative lung damage from earlier infections catching up to you later on. At that point, if it happens, I think you can say pretty confidently that they likely are not spreading more virus particles around when infected than unvaccinated people.


Some people are just not going to care no matter what, and that's fine. But it's too bad that people are fed false information that gets them killed, and it's too bad some people think they're winning moral victories somehow by forgoing organ transplants rather than get vaccinated. All these free thinkers who never gave a second thought to vaccination requirements for anything until Fox News or whatever other right wing propaganda told them to. Healthcare workers beaming with pride to quit their jobs over one vaccine, after getting every vaccine their jobs required for their whole careers. It's sad they were all influenced to make these bad choices by disinformation and propaganda.
