This is exactly it. I was there, I talked to protestors. This isn't about Vax vs antivax this is about people standing up for basic freedom. A lot of the people I talked to were vaccinated but we're disgusted with the government overreach.

Covid restrictions and public health measures appear to have caused the extinction of one of the major lineages of the flu

The SARS-CoV-2 pandemic has seen a notable global reduction in influenza cases of both influenza A and B viruses. In particular, the B/Yamagata lineage has not been isolated from April 2020 to August 2021, suggesting that this influenza lineage may have become extinct, which may provide opportunities for improving availability and effectiveness of influenza vaccines.

Canadians are holding the line until the restrictions and vaccine mandates actually do end.

Also, after the police brutality a couple days ago, people are starting to make more demands. There is actually a Government crisis unfolding regarding a member asking openly about half the members(cabinet) of the Canadian Government being infiltrated by the World Economic Forum in Parliament in response to the Emergencies act which was refused response or comment and the member was told his audio was bad by Mr. Speaker which was a blatant lie all Canadians will witness if they haven't already. Trudeau suspended Parliament Friday. The Government hasn't even voted on the Emergencies Act yet.

Canadians are pissed regardless of what opinions people align with because it's a shitshow right now and Canadians who support the convoy will never forget what Trudeau and the Canadian Government allowed to happen these last two years especially what happened this past week.

Canada now has thousands and thousands of people protesting all over the country and a trucker convoy in nearly every province; BC, Alberta, Manitoba, Quebec, Ontario. Multiple cities in each province, rural too. This has just begun. It's no longer just about vaccine mandates from what I'm hearing and the movement is growing quickly since the police became violent.

Most of the things people are complaining about were enacted by provincial governments not federal though. And the whole border thing boils down to the US not having to let you in if you're not a citizen there too. The federal level of government is barely relevant to to the topic, but the provincial governments generally are run by Conservative parties currently and people had a bunch of "Fuck Trudeau" flags they wanted to use.

I do want to say this. Sometimes I find myself a scratching my head and frustration at way that Koods Words the Truth. He shoves it down your throat. Guide you gently? No. Hold your hand along the way? No.
koods will make the Truth fit inside your brain if you can just leave your own agendas at the door and really Pay Attention for a Change.

But also I'm pretty sure covid doesn't matter anymore on the scale of things to be worried about as of like nowish

Violent crime is exploding at rates that make me feel like a citizen and civil servant of Gotham city. I mean it. There's too many stories to even keep track of. My girlfriend has an app called citizen that's constantly getting alerts about things around me and I'm in this weird position where there's actually a pretty high chance- like 0.02% percent, versus 0.002%- or a whole Order of Truth magnitude that I might physically meet the person in the worst and most unwantedly intimate ways in person. Only the most interesting murders and otherwise senseless deaths are featured.


Long story short you're not that important and you should should always be trying to measure the extent of your own uselessness and parasitism objectively. Unless, you know, you want to just be full of shit because being full of shit is your last ditch effort at navigating the world.

The trucker convoy is hella gay, my moms been laid off a week, and probly this week too, the auto parts she welds can't make it over the border, she lives paycheck to paycheck, so missing 2 weeks of work is devastating to her

So a protest 100s of km away has negatively effected my family, I dont support it

Once a week a bunch of cars drive around  my city honking and that's pretty annoying, but at least I know once the line drives by it'll be over, if they were parked in front of my house, I'd probly become a vandalizing ninja
