I guess we should also classify every drug overdose hospitalization as a form of selfish behavior as well. :shrug:

If you cared about children with cancer you wouldn't be using fentanyl and overdosing taking valuable medical resources away.

Recombination is a serious concern. We already know that sars-cov2 recombines easily. If you get the contagiousness of omicron with the severity of delta, that’s a problem.

We really need to start considering forced vaccinations. These people are putting everyone at the highest risk we’ve seen yet. People infected with delta and omicron at the same time are bio safety level 4 biohazards.


The question is whether there is a distinct “deltacron” virus or just an average of samples taken from someone infected with both viruses. Heterogeneous samples will have genetic characteristics of both viruses

Yeah but u were also saying how it omicron wouldn't replace delta because of how differnt the strains are so which is it? Also that's not how forced vaccinations would work with this virus that cat is already out of the bag again you either dont get how viruses work or your just politicizing this whole tragedy so again which is it?

There's nothing bizarre about it if you have basic knowledge about what's going on. The vast majority of people being hospitalized are unvaccinated, and it's still abundantly clear that vaccination both prevents hospitalization and shortens hospital stays. I'm not sure how vaccination affects transmission with omicron, but not dying or getting intubated is still pretty great.

The vaccination argument doesn't really compare with the drug metaphor, but if you can't stop thinking about smack, then you should know that now is a really bad time to end up in the ER after a drug overdose. And don't worry about an opioid shortage. there's still plenty for everybody, and even thinking about an opioid shortage is just plain silly.
