Actually, they could call you on that one and subpoena records of transactions. A garage sale is a better explanation.

To call humans 'rational beings' does injustice to the term, 'rational.'  Humans are capable of rational thought, but it is not their essence.  Humans are animals, beasts with complex brains.  Humans, more often than not, utilize their cerebrum to rationalize what their primal instincts, their preconceived notions, and their emotional desires have presented as goals - humans are rationalizing beings.

You don't need to explain! ANYTHING you say can and WILL be used against you in a court of law.

I think someone heard about my legal mushroom grow as I have never grown the illegial variety in the area I now reside in and because only 2 people other than me knew of the grow and I would trust them both with my life. I figure someone heard that I grow mushrooms and assumed that with a young guy like me doing it they must be of the illegial variety.

Yea. In my local area there have been 3 murders in the last year. Two are unsolved and the in the third the murderer killed himself. Great police work if you ask me.

Maybe if they searched your damn house you shouldn't be posting on this board admitting to crimes which probably haven't exceeded the statute of limitations.

Still, admitting to crimes which can still be investigated isn't the brightest thing you could do.

Rule #1: Say nothing to anybody except your lawyer.
Rule #2: See rule #1.

I cannot stress rule #1 enough. The cops are trained experts at getting people to talk. Often, the only way they get a conviction is by getting people to ignore rule #1. No matter what, SAY NOTHING!!! They tell you, in bold font, anything you say can, and will be used against you. They aren't kidding... they aren't your friend... all they care about at all is putting you behind bars and fucking up your life. SAY NOTHING!!! Get a lawyer, pay the price, and hope for the best.

sounds like you're probably in the clear.

if they arrest you, or ask any questions, don't tell them anything but get a lawyer.
i wouldn't bother suing - it'll be expensive, and you'll almost certainly get thrown out of court. they did have a warrant, after all...

however, you could let the local press know about over-enthusiastic cops - probably nothing would come of it, but it's cheap and won't hurt anything.

The only thing I told them is that the cultures they took were shitake cultures which is true. I don't have a lawyer yet and I hope I won't need one, but if they do arrest me I already know which one I will call.

if a warrant was issued, and your home was raided, solely on account of an informant telling the police that you were growing an unspecified species of mushrooms, somebody fucked up big time.

from police i have talked to about search warrant procedure, a search warrant for a home is difficult to obtain and requires much more than that. i suppose it depends on the judge, but if a warrant was issued on the grounds that you believe it was, someone made a big mistake (or is just a really shitty judge) and IMO you shouldn't just let this matter rest once you're off the hook.

i'd also delete the posts where you admit to illegal activity. (and if you choose to do so, PM, and i'll delete that statement).

come to think of it though, i don't think that they could use your posts here against you without subpeoning the shroomery for your IP addy and going to your ISP with it, and if they somehow were on to your shroomery account, they would have already seized your computer.

very strange.

good luck.

Well it's very good that you're not using your own computer. I still advise to err on the side of extreme paranoia.

yeah fuck that man, they cant just get a warrant from some stupid fuck running their mouth, thats harassment. they have to evidence infront of the judge. they need proof. the cops are lying about the empty syringes, they are covering for the snitch. somebody fucked you over, or else yes the police fucked up and took a chance and did not succeed. id fuck them over for violating your rights.

thats like me sayin, ohh mr police man, see that house over there, yeah they are manufacturing meth over there, i KNOW.

and police man saying, oh i believe you i will get right on it and get a warrant.

ya know? that shit dont fly. ever watch COPS? they drive around and are like "yap, there's a crack house, and here's another one right over here, we got a car pulling away from one so we're gonna go ahead and pull them over and see if they got anything on them"

so your telling me they go into your house on somebodies word, yet cant go into a known crack house? pfff, sue them mother fucking pigs, dont be scared, get lawyer regardless, they are fucking with your life and RIGHTS!

I'd be willing to bet there is more to the story. I bet they had enough evidence to legally get a warrent. He isn't an innocent little schoolboy, he's playing the game. Having your house raided is just something that happens when your in America and living that life.

Amazingly the lab results are in already. All my stuff was returned to me and I was given a personal appology by the police chief. All my cultures however are either dried out or badly contaminated. Anybody feel like sending me a shitake or oyster culture?
