California poppy question

Alright, I've heard mixed things on the effects of the california poppy. I know it contains no opiates but on eroiwd there are a few reports of tea causing a sedated feeling.
I was wondering if anyone has any expeirences with tea..
And rather or not they used the pod or the leaves or both..
Also I read about the leaves being smoked..
Any help would be grateful.

i like to smoke the cigs of california poppy. Its very relaxing and lasts about 30 minutes..... This is one of the very few herbs that I actually get something from smoking..

I have some growing right now,and I plan on drying out the whole plant and either making a tea or smoking the leaves.

a few squirts of Whole Foods California Poppy Extract makes me really comfortable, I really like it a lot.

damn i got there is a BUNCH of it around were i live, i mean a BUNCH wanna go into detail on this extraction?

'Whole Foods' is the brand. I don't know how they extract it, I buy it in a little bottle at Whole Foods Market. Sorry I can't help ya by telling you how to extract it yourself, but someone around here should.
