You have a situation where blacks are relatively disadvantaged in how they are treated by law enforcement. So, to potest that, they launch the slogan "black lives matter" to show that, hey!, they matter just as well as anyone else, right?

Irate Karens then launched "all lives matter" to remind the blacks that they are no better than anyone else.

The cops then launched "blue lives matter" to remind people that they dont like their atrocities reflecting badly on their public image.

These slogans are not created equal.

I'm in agreement with anyone truly against racism and police brutality, but none of those slogans would be my choice of words because I believe they are poisoned with divisiveness.

Yeah this feels so much like all the previous calls for action over the last 10 years or so. Ends up a being a big fuss just for stupid selfies for the internet then forgotten about. Racism is a problem but it seems like people my age (80s kid) and the following generations don't have the same views as the old timers. My grandpa was kind of racist. My dad occasionally said some racist shit. I'm not racist. My daughter isn't racist. The poisonous philosophy is dying. Just takes time for people's minds to change I guess?

It's a protest movement. The other ones popped up because people don't understand what white privilege is or how cops could be bad. It's a little ridiculous that something being used to communicate racial inequality should be treated the same as those who either didn't understand or mocked it, don't you think? I can't remember where I saw it anymore, but I remember seeing a comparison to saying something like "Save the rainforest." You don't see anyone assuming that means "fuck all other forests." I've never heard of anyone saying they're sick of hearing about the rainforests.

Pirate-Blues pic sums up my thoughts exactly.

However, I voted Black Lives Matter as Asante mentioned, Blacks are disproportinately killed by the evil fucking Police more often than other races in terms of percentages.

And since Blacks have several decades of institutional racism, i feel like the Black community needs outside help. Its what Martin Luther King would want.

I'm sick of hearing about the rainforests.....you ever see those giant centipedes? Yeah that needs to be destroyed with fire :/
