it was realy greasy
i washed it pretty much every day
just not with shampoo, just water
also after i wsh it my bangs fall in my face

best thing about getting dreads is that you have an excuse not to wash your hair so often! it was such a pain in the ass to have long hair and have to wash it every other day or so, and then wait for a long ass time for it to dry (especially when it was norway and winter!)... now i get away with washing it maybe once a week... if it starts itching i can always jump in the fjord :smile:

When my hair was longer I never washed it either. My friends thought I was the only one and kept tellin me to wash it.

Krishna- When i had dreads, they itched like hell after i washed them. LOL when i cut them off, my hair was like an inch or two long and i blow dried it- i looked like James Brown. Now I love JB and all but his 'do don't look good on me! I wore a hat for a few years until it grew back out. And I had to laugh when you said they took days to dry- mine did too! Well, at least they look cool, huh? Do you have a pic of your hair?

lol i used to do the same thing pillow...for the saem reason. But i went and got it cut with a razor and now it doesent look like a huge bush when i wash it :smile:

Which works out great cause with my new job as a mason i have to use a mixer to mix up mortor and cement all day and my heair is like an old ass rug by the end of the day and i have to wash it 3 or 4 times when i get home just to get the shit out of it :/
