When you are mixing the substrate, make it for all jars at once. First add water to vermiculite, stir, finaly add BRF and stir. This way you won?t get any clumps.

Don?t use hot water for mixing since the rice will quill and make the mass very sticky.

If you want to go shure about the sterilisation, boil them for 1.5 hours or 50 minutes in a pressure cooker. Let them cool in the pot overnight.

When sterilising the needle, it suffice letting it cool for 10 sec.
