We used to love rocking the underbed boxes.
Muda made subs out of them I just used them as is but eventually I just started storing agar in them:lol:

Those are HUGE lol... what's the LΓ—WΓ—H roughly?  Mine are 23.5Γ—16.5Γ—5.875", 28qt capacity, but same sub size as a 70qt mono... I'm now using my taller tubs to mix blocks for gourmets and do set and forget shiitake when I get random late or single shitz lol... I'll likely move on to something else eventually:  but I is digging demz for now

These work out to about the same dimensions as a 110 qt, I love the ease of harvest with them

I'm thinking the pointy caps are really shining in this clone... didnt fill in completely, but looks to have made up for it in fruit size: if they're solid, I'll be cloning a few for further isolation... this clone is 2 days behind the other 3: them caps though...

How much spawn do you guys use? Like 4-6qt?

I figure it’s about four shoeboxes so a brick of coir and at least 4 qts of spawn.

I’ve got four jars going for this now but I’m debating starting more before they get too far ahead.

Tek is rather detailed my friend... I'm testing 3qt tubs now, and I'm thinking theres not much difference in yield from 3 to 4... surface area seems to have more to do with yield than spawn count imho... I personally use 3-4, but am transitioning to 3qt per tub to stretch oats by 33% bc why wouldn't ya? Yield is comparable, I decrease resource use, and increase the biological efficiency of my tubs

I have been dubbing them lately bc they grow straighter: this has to be done before they really take off, but just after pinset: the increase in fae seems to signal them to grow straight: if I dub once they've started stretching, they curl up as if the lid was in place: intuitive little shits... they'll grow fine with the lids in place, but can be a PITA to harvest a good tub bc they tie themselves in knots lol

I did use liners but it's just a personal preference of mine.

Both of these are 4qt spawn runs. I thought the second one was going to come in a little fuller. Oh well.

Just grabbed 100 6qt shoeboxes... wish I came across this thread before I bought em . 
This seems more effective for yield and space management for a larger scale grow.
Have you tried a top coat soak like the one shaperdreaming uses in her shoebox tek?

You gotta get some good clones man.

My first two PE clones both did 495 the first flush with one quart of spawn.



You got a lot of work ahead that’s for sure. Prepping and spawning that many is gonna be a bitch.

Man every time I try to get a clone, the growth looks weak af on agar and I end up just tossing it.
the culture I’m using for this 100box grow came  from a cleaned up print of a shoebox that put out around 300wet so hopefully I see a lil  better yield but  I already got 100 or so jars rollin  (not all got there pics taken)
This was took 2 days ago I shook em all yesterday . Seeing good recovery should be ready to spawn in 2 days hopefully
