Yes and no. If you keep the CO2 high after pin set then you get small caps. If after pinning if you maximize your air exchanges you get large caps...but to get even larger caps may not be attainable if the strain's genetics arn't coded for even larger caps. So what I'm saying is that you can maximize your shroom size by having proper air exchanges after pin set, but you can't get any larger caps than what the species is capable of attaining.Additional note: With Reishi, you can actually stop caps from growing by keeping the CO2 level high after pin set. With cubies, they still get caps but they are small when compared to normal growth patterns, but I don't know of anyone who has deliberately tried to stall cap formation.
My new "Mage's Myco Chamber" which will be showcased at my new website this weekend has CO2 injection for the pinning stage...it might be interesting to see if cubies react to the high CO2 by not forming any caps at all...just 1 foot long stems would be interesting to see...LOL...Cubie Antlers...
