Boy, this one's got everyone's panties all in a twist...

MSNBC pulled it from their site.

I was listening to a talk radio show in LA last night that
had Mr. Rall on...you should have heard the shrill idiots
calling to lambast this guy.

personally, I think there's a valid point in here...

how many american's got whipped into a frenzy by the
fear machine, enlisted and are dead today for what many
consider to have been a disengenuous war.

(Although Tillman died in Afghanistan, his first tour was in Iraq)

War in Afghanistan had nothing to do with Al-Qaeda? Bullshit.
His unit killed more civilians then enemies? Prove it.
Our goal is to prop up puppet rulers and steal the countries resources? At worst, it remains to be seen...unfounded accusation.

While I personally would not have made the decision Tillman made, Ted Rall is an absolute fucktard for drawing up this bullshit cartoon.

He enlisted in response to September 11th...not so he could participate in any one war. Let me ask, if his family had been in the world trade center on that particular day, would you still say he joined the military because of some "fear machine?"

The point is, the reason for his joining and the joining of I'd venture to say most others who joined post 9-11, was in no way disingenuous. He believed that by joining the military he could help defend his country from further attacks.

I've always disliked Ted Rall but he seems like a total moron here as he seems to have confused Iraq and Afghanistan as the same war. Pat Tillman had principle, he did what he believed was right and sacrificed his future for it. I think he was a hero. That cartoon is a malicious slander against noble man.

Defending your country after 3,000 people are killed in a terrorist attack is NOT the same as enlisting to blow up innocent people because there are infidels in Mecca. Tillman did not join the army to die as a 'martyr' and deliberately murder civilian 'unbelievers'. The war in Afghanistan was NOT the same as the 9/11 attacks. I think it is ridiculous that that does not go without saying.

their different locations, sure, but if you remember the
propaganda that we were fed, saddam was a terrorist
sympathizer with weapons that he would provide al queda
and any others.

by Israel? How many women and children died in Iraq

im left wing, but i found the cartoon in poor taste. shit likes that makes our side look bad. so yeah maybe the guy was dumb for leaving his money and wife and going to war. however its nice to see someone who actually puts his money where his mouth is. most of these redneck bush supporters would never leave millions to go into the army rangers. i know many of the keyboard conservatives here, wouldnt go fight anyone. tillman had balls, bigger balls than i. rest in peace pat  :sad:

Why do people think he's a hero? Am i supposed to think better of this person because he had, or could have had, a whole bunch of money and then went into the military? Wtf.."wow this person isn't a greedy run of the mill american, he's actually got some balls...what a hero" He died and of course the media trys to turn it into a huge emotional patriotic moment reflecting on how brave our troops are and how they are such huge heros. Meanwhile abc can't even list the names of the other 500 dead people that no one seems to care about. What about them? i don't hear moronic christian fundamentalists and fat soccer moms praising them...uggh. This guy is no more of a hero than anyone else over there. The idea that he deserves everyones praise simply because he gave up his career to fight disgusts me. What about the thousands of national reservists fighting? they don't have careers to go back to either.

I hate to say it but pat tillman is just another fool who got whipped into a frenzy by the numerous lies of the bush administration. But kiss his ass because he had money.
